Welcome from the Parish of St. Mary and St. Jude!

We are a diverse community of people who gather for worship and mission. Some of us have lived here all of our lives. Some have come recently to work or retire. Some of us work in the oceans, on the properties, at the schools and libraries, at Jackson Laboratory or College of the Atlantic, or in the local shops and restaurants. Some of us are here for only part of the year (a week to 6 months!) and have been coming here for years or even generations. Some of us come from as far away as England or California. All of us are grateful to be here when we can to enjoy community worship, shared mission, and the spiritual riches of Mount Desert Island.

It is my delight to have served as Rector of this parish since September of 2008. My passion is supporting people in the discovery of Divine Life that abounds in, through and around us. This is what I believe Jesus the Christ was all about - reconnecting us with our identities and life in the living God and engaging in mission together from that place of identity.

Please know that you are most welcome at any time. I am most often in my office (when not in meetings or making pastoral calls) from Wednesday through Saturday. Hours vary with the time of the year. Please call the office at 207-276-5588 to schedule an appointment or to leave a confidential message in my voicemail box. Feel free to stop by and you might catch me in!

I hope to meet you in worship on Sundays or Wednesday evenings. May you know that God is always with you. And may you grace us with your life and presence.

I moved to Mount Desert Island in the summer of 2004, and have served as the Parish Administrator at St. Mary and St. Jude for the past five years. It is a true blessing to be able to share in the ministry of this parish. I am here to serve you.
